01-02 November 2016
Denver, CO, USA

This presentation provided an overview of how the IMPT’s prioritization of actions to increase the awareness and development of MPTs can impact the incidence of unintended pregnancy, HIV and other STIs in the United States. It demonstrates a burden of STIs in the U.S., and unintended pregnancy rates are significantly higher in comparison to other developed nations. It highlights the IMPT’s collaboration with the STD Branch with the California Department of Public Health to analyze contraceptive and STI incidence data.
