Comprehensive Sexual & Reproductive Health Prevention: The Promise of MPTs
17-18 January 2017
Oakland, CA, USA

This presentation provided an overview of MPTs as innovative, breakthrough solutions that aim to deliver simultaneous prevention of at least two health risks: unintended pregnancy, HIV and other STIs. With an array of MPTs in development, it highlighted the potential of MPTs to expand the contraceptive method mix. Beyond co-formulated products, other MPT delivery options such as co-administered and co-packaging methods are being explored. It emphasized that a suite of products is necessary to meet the real and diverse needs of women.
