New Products, New Paradigms: Combination Products for Women
This session highlighted the needs, challenges, and opportunities for developing MPTs. It also discussed various first generation MPTs that are on-demand products or are sustained-release devices. The emphasis on women in different countries having various needs raises the importance of collaborative regulatory efforts to develop safe and effective MPTs. In doing so, MPTs will enable women from both low- and high-resource communities to address their own unique sexual and reproductive health risks throughout their lifespan.
Selected Presentations:
Birnkrant, D. New Products, New Paradigms: Combination Products for Women
Rees, H. The case for Multipurpose Prevention Technologies
