Multipurpose Prevention Technologies: Technology Landscape and Potential for Low- and Middle-Income Countries
Prepared by the IMPT Secretariat in partnership with Unitaid and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), this comprehensive landscape assessment is the first of its kind to focus on MPTs.
Integrating end-user perspectives as well as insight from nearly 30 leading stakeholders in contraception, HIV, and STIs across the globe, this review takes a deep dive into the current MPT product development pipeline and illuminates the pathway to introduction and scalability of MPTs in low- and middle-income countries with consideration for current public health, regulatory, and technical challenges.
This report stands as a reminder and invitation for stakeholders to come together to urgently address the overlapping health risks facing so many women and girls in low-and middle-income countries.
