Imagine a world where women have the tools they need to protect themselves from HIV, other STIs, and unintended pregnancy simultaneously; empowering them to achieve their full social, educational, and economic potential. Multipurpose prevention technologies (MPTs) — an innovative class of products delivering varied combinations of HIV prevention, other STI prevention, and contraception — will expand women’s choice in prevention method, providing them with efficient, user-controlled options that better fit their daily realities. There are many ways that you can get involved in this work to help us realize this vision:

If you work in reproductive health, HIV/STI prevention, product development, or another related field, join our international collaboration and become a member of the IMPT network to:
- Share and contribute to the collective expertise in field;
- Access reliable resources for up-to-date research and news;
- Access funding information and latest developments; and
- Be a part of movement to expedite research and development to impact women’s lives and global health.

Your investment in the IMPT will support the advancement of the MPT field by ensuring the sustainability of our work to:
- Coordinating strategic planning for the MPT field
- Facilitating supporting agency collaborations relevant to MPTs
- Serving as the MPT communications and information ‘hub’
- Coordinating the IMPT network and other relevant partnerships
- Tracking investments in MPT development
- Advancing the scientific and technical agenda by: 1) conducting gap analyses on priority technical areas for the MPT field; and 2) facilitating efforts to fill identified gaps, including the development of technical tools
